Your stance will be different for the driver than it will be for your irons. In fact the stance for each type of iron you might be using to hit the ball will be different. The feet are wider apart as the you increase the iron number. Your stance will be at its widest for the driver.

When addressing the ball with the lower irons you feet should be in an open position. As you move to a higher irons you stance will become progressively less open. An open stance means the toes of the leading foot is slightly behind the toes of the following foot. You stance will be the most open when using your sand wedge. When addressing the driver your stance should be slightly closed. A closed stance is the opposite of an open stance. When your stance is square the toes of both feet are even.
